AND TODAY.....AFTER A LOT MORE CURLY HAIR, A FEW INCHES OF GROWTH, MANY NEW WORDS, A LITTLE SASSY MOMENTS, MANY OF LIFES CHALLENGES THAT WE DIDN'T FORSEE, A LOT OF LAUGHS, A LOT OF TEARS, MANY GREAT MEMORIES, AND ALL OF THAT AND I WOULDN'T CHANGE IT FOR ANYTHING!!!
I became a mommy!
I still remember getting the phone call!
I still remember thinking and wondering "is this my daughter?".
I still remember feeling peace just before walking in the door to meet her.
I still remember praying for so long for this moment.
I still remember the moment we loaded her in the car to take her home and thinking "WE ARE CRAZY!!!
I still remember feeling so much love for her birth mommy, and we hadn't even met yet.
I still remember being so grateful for my Heavenly Father to finally answer my prayers.
I still remember no sleeping that first night, or at least trying on the couch. And then waking up in the morning and thinking "Holy Moly (or we will just say that's what I said) I'M A MOMMY OVERNIGHT!!! Who does this happen to? Me of course!
I still remember when all of our family and friends came to meet Olivia for the first time. Even having family travel for hours to see her.
I still remember calling my boss and telling him I won't be to work on Monday, or the day after that or the day after that!
I still remember wanting to hold her and never let her go.
I still remember thinking how lucky I was. And that I wouldn't let her down as her mommy.
I still remember wanting to put her in all the clothes in her closet that had been there for years!
I still remember being so curious as to what kind of daughter, mother and friend she will be one day.
I still remember thinking YEA I don't have to nurse!!! (TMI?)
I still remember thinking how I happy I am in that moment I don't ever want to forget how painful it was to get to this point. And to ALWAYS be sensitive to what others may be going through becuase you NEVER KNOW!
I still remember thinking YEA I get to finally bring Cheerios to church and have them spilled all over the floor.
I still remember feeling proud to be a mommy.
Is this getting cheesy enough for you all????
Olivia I love you with all my heart.
I hope I make you proud.
I hope I dont dissapoint you.
I hope you learn from my mistakes.
I hope you trust me.
I hope you will come to me with anything and everything.
I hope you will want to share with me all your little secrets.
I hope I am an example to you on how to love and be a friend.
I hope you learn from me that you can do anything you want and you pursue your dreams.
I hope you truly know how much I love and adore you.
I hope you know that you have made me a better person.
Don't adjust your monitor's, and no this isn't a Devil child. She is showing off her mad skills of being able to Roll Her Eyes! It's classic if I say so myself.

And Yes I have a Diva shopping partner now. I love it when she goes to her closet and say's "Oh how cute" and when we are shopping and I pick something up and she says "Cute" in her little voice.
Here are just a few memories over the past year! Her first swimsuit, Her First Christmas, Her First Shots, Her First time at the beach. A lot of firsts, and I am looking forward to many new memories sweetie!
