I'm a Big Girl Now!

And No we are not talking about me. I mean really when have I really talked about me anyways on this blog? 

It's time. I held it off for so long. I was tired of cleaning up poop. Everyone always said, "wait until she is ready to potty train her". Well being the stubborn two year old, (like her mother), it's like she woke up one day and was ready!!!

We are trying this magical Three Day Program that seems to be working. Along with bribes, praise, candy, new fancy panties, and did I mention praise!!

We are currently on day Two. She is doing very well. Although she thinks that she has to change her panties every time she goes to the bathroom, clean or not!  I mean I can't blame the girl, who wouldn't want to wear Minnie Mouse, Stars, Doggies, Princesses, Flowers all in one day! 

Big Girl Bed!

We decided after Olivia has nearly chewed her crib to little pieces like a beaver. It was time for a big girl bed.  This was the week.  First night.... interesting.  Second night.....better.  Third night.......perfect.  

At first she thought it was GREAT  for a little bit, like
"YES MY SILLY PARENTS LEFT ME IN HERE WITH ALL MY TOYS, AND A CAGELESS BED, THIS RULES"!!!

Then the exhaustion hit her.
And the tears.   
She cried for about 30 minutes at the gate we strategically put at her door so she couldn't escape.
We went in there a couple of times put her into bed and said good night!
I felt like I was in a episode of Super Nanny.

We turned out all the lights in the house and headed for our bedroom.
Again we could hear through the moniter she turned the light on. 
Still crying, but it's getting weaker.
After about another 15 minutes, I was standing at the door, I hear her walk over. 
Turn the light off. 
And crawl into bed. 
And nighty night!

I was laughing.  Honestly thinking was it really that easy? 
Boy were we in for a treat.
We headed to bed.
Lets just say the rest of the night she fell out of the bed about 3 times. 
We didn't have a bed gate yet, thus the falls. 
At around 6 am Casey woke up with her. 
She was naked.
Looked up at Casey and said.
"Daddy that is a BIG BIG BIG BED!"

                   

Guess who is tall enough....

Guess who is tall enough now to do this.......

You guessed it!!! Wowser's I REALLY can't wait to get my utility bill this month. 

I will walk in a room and EVERY light and ceiling fan will be on. 

We also had our 2 year check up the other day and Liv kept pulling down her pants to show me her "owies".  Thankfully we were at home the rest of the day and she didn't drop her drawers in Target. 

Her statistics....

Coming in at: 30 lbs 75%

Cabeza (head) Circ: 48 cm 75% (that's without the hair POOOF!)

Daddy Long Legs: 35 1/2 inches 90% 

We are glad to see that she is growing into her head.  I can say that I'm her mother. 

We just hope that she is somewhere in the middle of her birthparents

since her birthdad is 6'9 YES I SAID 6"9 and her birthmom is 4'11.
