That me singing, sorry that's all your going to get. I was the girl in high school who was in in choir for two reason and two reasons only.
#1 - make my mother happy
#2 - make myself happy and go on "choir tour" to CALIFORNIA!!
(trust me it was worth the wasted credit hours over the total of three years to be able to enjoy Cali for a week)
I also believe I was probably the only girl in the entire history of Bingham High School to
EVER get kicked out of
CHOIR!
Who does that?
Oh yea, I do.
I don't recall exactly what I was/wasn't doing to be punished with such cruelty but I am sure it was immature, obnoxious, and maybe made a few of my best friends laugh as I left the room.
I apologize Mrs ????. (I am sure I will remember your name tomorrow.)
I do remember that I didn't like you and you didn't like me.
Which made it even more awkward when you had to be my "at home tutor" when I got Mono my Junior year and you came knocking at my door every day for three months while I couldn't attend school.
That was worse than actually being sick. Having you trying to teach me Math.
I am sure you are a wonderful woman, grandma, friend, etc, etc , etc. But we didn't like each other I remember that.
For that I apologize.
I'm sorry.
I'm different now. (somewhat)
Now that I think about it, I think you owe me an apology because although I was stupid and innocent, you however are the adult!
So I'm waiting......
As my ending note and memory of High School Choir, we had AWFUL dresses that we had to wear when performing. My senior year they were all black with little black felt POLKA DOTS all over!
HIDEOUS WITH A CAPITAL H! They were worse than ANY bridemaids dress I have ever seen.
A couple of a choir rebels would tear off our polka dots during performances so when we would leave the stage you see a pile of black dots all over our designated spots.
Kind of like we were leaving our mark.
By the end of the year I had no polka dots left on my dress. This may or may not have contributed to the tension between Mrs. Whatshername.
I kind of look like the NOT SO MUCH of a DALMATION DOG without her spots.
As a final tribute, a couple of us, (who shall remain anonymous) decided we would BURN, yes BURN our dresses in the middle of the football field.
Which I'm sure if we tried these days I would have some criminal background for.
So we did.
It was hilarious.
Don't ask how we put the fire out? (that I'm not to proud of)
It was three blonds doing this, so you may be wondering what we wore after we burned our dresses?
Good Question.
We didn't think about that either.
It was a cold drive home.
