The other night my brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Mel watched Olivia for me for a couple hours while I worked. Mel is a stylist and needless to say she couldn't resist herself after she bathed Olivia and was combing through her hair. I walked in the door and honestly didn't recognize her. She looked so grown up. We called her our little gnome. We didn't wash her hair for a week. We probably could have gone a couple more days but honestly I missed the curls. I wasn't worried at all about it going back curly due to the fact that she cried while lying down, a tear dropped down her face and BOING a curl popped back. Livvy loved it, I don't know if more because she and I didn't start the day off with a fight of combing through her hair, or because we could do some fun stuff with it. I however felt completely out of place. I didn't know what to do with it!!! I was like "girl I don't know how to do white girl hair"
We have since gone back to the curls and every couple days she asks "mommy dan we do my hair traight?" We will have to do it soon, cause girl that mess aint staying straight in the summer with 100 degrees and living at the pool.
