Day Glorious Day!!! After about 6 months of not having an oven, and Casey listening to me gripe about not being able to have midnight brownies we finally bit the bullet and got it fixed. And as I try and learn something new everyday, like a wise man once told me to do, I did just that.
So let me pass my little knowledge on to you. As I always watched my mother put a layer of tin foil down at the bottom of the stove, I thought I was preventing a cleaning mishap. Oh NO NO NO!!!! Apparently that is the worst thing you can do, especially on gas stoves. And I learned that very quickly as the repair man told me so, and as I wrote out a check to him. Ouchy!!
Oh well, now what to bake first????? Oh crap, we don't have any eggs!!! You have to be kidding me.
Today is going to be a great day! It's cold outside and I've already shoveled a couple inches of snow. I think today is going to be nothing but bake some Martha Stewart cupcakes, watch Casey rein act scenes from Top Gun, make a few dresses for a friend, possibly a trip to Wally World, I'm itching to watch Griswald Family Christmas.
On a side note I am really beginning to get the grasp of all those times people would tell me "oh you are going to need to child proof your house"! I am ready to just duct tape/hot glue/ or staple everything to the walls and throw everything else that is even remotely important out or sell it on Ebay! Our next house will have plastic EVERYTHING!
